Thoughts and Feelings

Bella’s annoying now. She really frustrates me and how painful a couple of scenes have been with her and Jessica. Since she was pretty much a mute for the past couple of months she didn’t talk to one then all of a sudden talked to Jessica out of the blue. It’s just really awkward. Bella’s mind is only on one channel, and that’s Edward Live (sweet joke Maggie), since he wasn’t there her mind was like mush…(real annoying)…on page 111 it really amazed me how clear things changed as she claims she heard Edwards voice, “In the instant that I heard his voice, everything was very clear. Like my head had suddenly surfaced out of some dark pool. I was more aware of everything-sight, sound, the feel of the cold air that I hadn’t noticed was blowing sharply against my face , the smells comig from the open bar” (Meyer). I took a step back and just thought, wow a guy can really do this to a person? I guess Edward just knows how to make everything better in Bella’s eyes. He’s like a drug to her, when he’s with her everything’s healthy and great, but when he’s gone, it’s like death. However, I just have one quick note about a description of a scene that I really liked on page 108, “The metal door was propped open; it was dimly lit inside, and the low murmur of many voices and the sound of ice clinking in glasses floated across the street” (Meyer). I loved the word choice of “clinking” and the “low murmur” it really set it off for me, felt like I was there. Can’t wait to see how things turn out…
