Sarah Palin

Instead of talking about Twilight for my last blog, I thought it would be appropriate to bring up some politics considering next week is a pretty heavy political week. I really am not one to be involved with politics for many reasons. First of all, I cannot participate in any elections therefore I’m not super interested and do not have a strong opinion as of now. I somewhat stay interested considering the winners of the elections will run our country/state and it involves my future, so I should know what’s going on in the world for my own good. I read an article about Sarah Palin and her roll in government. Palin interests me because of her diversity of being a woman running in office. Her family life really interests me too, having a special needs child and a daughter pregnant, she seems like she has her stuff together. How she juggles her family, and office, is one big feat that she has conquered. She gets a lot of publicity, especially for her clothing. When Palin was a governor in Alaska, she had $150,000 worth of clothing and makeup. Those clothes, however, were returned back to the government when she was finished. I thought this was acceptable considering she did not own the clothes and she returned them. I think that it’s ok for her to look presentable and respectable. She does a great job of dressing appropriate for debates and professional event. I don’t know why she gets so much concerning attention for the way she dresses.
